Privacy Policy

Please review and adapt this text before publishing. It describes the site as it is built — a static site with no backend — but it is generic wording, not legal advice. If you add analytics, advertising or any other third-party script, this page must be updated to match, and you may have obligations under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA depending on where your visitors are.

The short version

• Every calculation happens inside your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us.
• There are no accounts, logins or sign-up forms.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect it.
• Some preferences are stored locally on your own device, and you can clear them at any time.

Information you give us

The only way to send us information is to email us voluntarily. If you do, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of bug reports. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Information the calculators handle

Bill amounts, grades, prices, dates and every other figure you enter are processed by JavaScript running on your own device. They are not transmitted anywhere, not written to a server log, and not visible to us.

Local storage on your device

A small amount of information is stored in your browser so the site behaves sensibly between visits:

• Theme preference — whether you chose light, dark or system appearance.
• Saved GPA table — the courses, grades and credits you entered on the GPA calculator, so they are still there when you return.

This data lives in your browser only. It is never uploaded. You can remove it with theClear saved data button on the GPA calculator, or by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies. If advertising or analytics is enabled in future, that third party may set its own cookies, and this section will be updated to say which ones and why.

Analytics

At the time of writing, no analytics script is active. If one is added later, we intend to use a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only service and to name it here. Analytics of that kind records page views rather than the contents of any calculator.

Advertising

The site includes reserved spaces for advertising. If ads are enabled, the advertising network may use cookies or similar technologies to select and measure ads, subject to its own privacy policy. Any such provider will be named here before ads go live.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served as static files from a hosting provider and a content delivery network. Like almost every web host, the provider may record standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent and the page requested, for security and operational purposes. That processing is governed by the host’s own policy, and we do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors.

Links to other sites

Where we link out, the destination site has its own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.

Children

The site is a general-audience reference tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Data protection law gives people rights over their personal data, including access, correction and erasure. Because we hold no personal data beyond emails you have chosen to send, a request will usually amount to deleting our copy of your correspondence. Write to us and we will do so.

Changes to this policy

If the site changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example, adding analytics or advertising — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
